MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Hours: Evenings 1pm - 9:30pm, Monday-Thursday, Friday 6am-2:30pm

Missouri Walnut, LLC is a 25-year-old company located in Neosho, Missouri. With nearly 100 team members at our facility covering 130+ acres, we ship hardwood lumber to over 40 countries across the globe. Missouri Walnut Group is seeking a dedicated, passionate team member to work within our Maintenance team. The Maintenance Technician's role is to perform all equipment preventative maintenance as well as facilities related electrical, mechanical, sheet metal, welding, instrument, and pipe fitting work. Utilizes process and maintenance knowledge to assist in the planning and performance of all tasks. Participates in teams to develop and implement solutions. The successful candidate must have a passion for safety and be able to foster effective working relationships built upon trust and respect within all levels of the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Perform preventative maintenance

· Ability to perform repairs on machines

· Comply with safety, quality, and productivity requirements and procedures

· Regular/dependable attendance required

· Flexibility of work hours including overtime

· Must have knowledge and skills in Welding/Fabrication

· Boiler operation or ability to learn boiler operation is a must

· Use of hand tools and machinery is required to maintain equipment and buildings

· Able to work with and around moving equipment/machines

· Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical problems plant wide

· Effectively Utilize the CMMS Program

· Recommend equipment upgrades and repairs when necessary

· Assist in efforts of cost control including labor, material, waste, etc.

· Perform scheduled job order work, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair

· Must maintain a PIV license

· Completes tasks, work orders, and projects as assigned and regularly meets deadlines

· Uses organizational and planning techniques to maximize personal productivity

· Participates in Missouri Walnut's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ability to rotate to other positions as needed

· Support and participate in 5S events and other activities

· Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Previous manufacturing experience preferred

· Minimum of two (2) years in related maintenance trade or occupation that involved electrical, hydraulic machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment

· Previous electrical experience preferred

· Electrical License a plus

· Welding/Fabrication

· Boiler experience

· Standard and Technical Blue Print Reading

· Mechanical Troubleshooting

· Industrial Math

· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required

· Must be 18 years or older

· Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US

· Must be able to work well with little or no supervision

· Excellent computer knowledge

· Accuracy and attention to detail

· Ability to troubleshoot electoral problems and repair

· Metal fabrication and welding skills

· Boiler experience
